Pink Slink

So in therapy this week, (well, there goes, I go to therapy, what a way to start a post eh!?!),

I was told to start appreciating the "little things" in life that make me happy. So this weekend, I set out on a rampage to just that! So here is what I found that makes Deja smile a bit...

SLINKY'S: Yes, the classic American toy! I took Iszacc to the Planetarium today and told him he could pick out ANYTHING HE WANTED (well...for under $10, I'm cheap). So there were loads of SPECTACULAR today, lava making kits, space rockets, mood walking boots, but NO! My sweet, smart, frugel little guy wanted a slinky ($5 people!) and HE LOVES IT! He's five and had never seen one before; he's utterly fascinated by it! Cheers to 5 dollar Slinky's! And the sweetest part of all...he spent the other $5 to by his Auntie Deja a Pink Slink!
MANI'S: So Saturday was girl's day for me, spend the day shopping, eating, dancing and getting a fine maincure! For one reason or another acrylic nails make me feel 100 times sexier (that and my black knee-high boots), so the $28 seems well worth it!
GIRL'S NIGHTS: So I went out with the ladies on Saturday night. We went dancing into the wee hours of the morning and I have to say, I had so much fun!
CHEESECAKE: Need I say more!?! You HAVE TO, HAVE TO, HAVE TO try Cheesecake Factory's 30th year tribute cake...it's layer upon layer of chocolate cake and cheesecake. PREPARE FOR BLISS!
yes, more food...
CARAMEL APPLES: Another classic which is one of those desserts where it looks SO GOOD but then you eat like 2 bites and your done. Well, Iszacc and I shared a beauty-of-an-apple from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and I must say....DELICE!
So while most of my, "Little Things" costed a "Little Bit" and but an "Quite a Little Bit" of poundage it was a delightfully Deja weekend!

Therapy is fabulous!

(*I just did spell check--"costed" is not a work---what?---who knew!?! And I was a journalism major...tisk, tisk)

I LOVE all those things you posted, too. Especially the caramel apples. Now I'm going to have to go get me one... :)

There's nothing lie true therapy (cheesecake) to lift a girls spirits! I'm glad you had such a lovely weekend :)
