What a beauty...

It has been far too long since I've blogged last. In case you didn't know, I'm no longer in Louisiana and am now back (sort of) to Utah! This time it's southern Utah, St. George to be exact.

How did we end up here?

My (then) boyfriend (now husband) and I went on an impromtu trip to St. George back in June of 2010, a few days before he proposed to me. We had no intentions of visiting this end of the state although I have NO CLUE why I didn't think about it being my husband LOVES the outdoors and anything outdoorsy. If you don't know St. George it is an outdoorsman's mecca! Everything and anything you can do outdoors you can do here, seriously, ANYTHING!

Anyway, GQ FELL. IN. LOVE. Seriously, it was love at first sight. I seriously wondered for a while if he loved St. George more than he loved me. As soon as he came here he was hooked. He often came to me with statistics and facts about St. George and I couldn't get him to shut up EVER about it.

After months of "St. George is so amazing!" "St. George is PERFECT," "St. George has the highest population of fit/skinny people (don't know where he was going with this one), "St. George is the best place ever to live!" And on and on...he came to me and told me he found his dream job and guess where it was?

St. George.

Needless to say it wasn't long before he literally up and left me in Louisiana to start his new job. He is a wilderness therapist and he is LOVING every minute of it. He's whooped! He is happy as can be and could not be in a more perfect job for him.

Well now, here I am, in St. George. Which is pretty ironic since GQ told me when first started dating he was NOT moving to Utah, now he has begged and begged me to move back here and here I am.

I have to say, in my short, short time here (just a few days) it is one beautiful city. I am a bit awe-struck at the beauty of this place. Red rocks everywhere and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

I'm anxious, excited, nervous, scared, worried, hopeful...you name it I feel it.

NO, I do not have a job YET but I'm working on it. It's killing me to not have a job right now but I'm working on my patience and just taking my time to settle in and find a home for us first. Unemployed and Homeless is not my favorite thing, but let's hope that changes soon.

Greeting from St. George, Utah.
