For as long as I can remember, this is how I pictured my little sister...
She was born to be a mom, it's all she's ever wanted to be and today her dream became a reality and his name is
Gavin Dennis Hatch
Born at 10:45 this morning weighing 7 ibs. 13 oz. and measuring 20 inches long.
My sister suffered through two miscarriages before her little miracle finally arrived today. A special gift from our dad, a little piece of him can now rest in our arms, at last...
I couldn't be there but I was on the phone and can't begin to express the joy of hearing his little cry for the first time. It was instant! Love at first cry!
You know that Backstreet Boys song, "I knew I loved you before I met you!" I always HATED that song, but today I understand the meaning behind it.
It seems impossible to love someone this much that I have yet to meet!
What a miraculous day for our family! What a magical moment in our lives! I feel God's love so strongly today, how could anyone else craft such a masterpiece...
For as long as I live, I will never forget today! I'll never forget how my heart wanted to jump out of my chest when I first heard his little cry. It was a moment we can remember together as a time we all cried, but for joy this time, and not loss and pain. I think this is what joy feels like!
Today might be one of the best...days...ever!!!
